Other Activities

During several of my visits to the Santa Fe Waldorf community I have met with Peggy O’Mara, editor/publisher of Mothering Magazine. An article about my approach to children’s health by medical writer Melissa Block has been accepted for publication in Mothering in 2003.

In 2001, I prepared and submitted a report for the Colorado governor’s assistant on health affairs and hand-delivered it to her at the state Capital Building in Denver.  It was titled "The Potential Negative Impact of a Vaccine tracking System on Children’s Health in Colorado:  A Scientific Rationale."

In 2001, I gave public testimony at a Health Department hearing recommending against the inclusion of the new Prevnar pneumococcus vaccine in the Colorado schedule of mandated children’s vaccinations.

Whenever a local newspaper or T.V. station does a story on vaccinations, they usually interview me  to get the minority medical opinion.

These past three years, two interviews with me on children’s health, fever, and vaccinations appeared in Dr. John Lee’s monthly medical newsletter, and one interview on the same topics appeared in Dr. Earl Mindell’s on-line newsletter.
